🇬🇧 Solivago is a GM-less worldbuilding game of space exploration. The characters are highly capable scientists on the way to habitable planets over a dozen of lightyears away from Earth - not to claim, colonize or conquer, but to study, observe and return to Earth afterwards. It is a (somewhat) realistic science-fiction game with focus on worldbuilding, imagining the science behind previously unknown worlds and slice-of-life scenes in the scientist's relationships, interspersed with dramatic updates from distant Earth.
In this game you will find:
- Planet creation rules to create varied worlds to explore
- Questions for collaborative setting creation
- Simple rules for GM-less play, to tell a story together
Solivago was created as a submission to the Barcosa 2025: „Liebe Grüße aus…” Postkartenjam (translation: "Greetings from..." postcard jam) and is available in English and German.
🇩🇪 Solivago ist ein spielleiterloses Weltenbau Spiel über die Erkundung des Weltraums. Die Charaktere sind höchstkompetente Forschende auf dem Weg zu bewohnbaren Planeten, über ein Dutzend Lichtjahre von der Erde entfernt – nicht um zu beanspruchen, zu kolonisieren oder zu erobern, sondern um zu erforschen, zu beobachten und anschließend zur Erde zurückzukehren. Es ist ein (annähernd) realistisches Science-Fiction Spiel mit Fokus auf Weltenbau, dem Ausdenken von wissenschaftlichen Hintergründen von zuvor unbekannten Welten und Slice-of-Life Szenen der Beziehungen untereinander, unterbrochen von dramatischen Updates von der weit entfernten Erde.
In dem Spiel findet ihr:
- Regeln zur Erstellung von Planeten um abwechslungsreiche Welten zur Erforschung zu kreieren
- Fragen zur gemeinsamen Erstellung des Settings
- Einfache Regeln für spielleiterloses Spielen, um gemeinsam eine Geschichte zu erzählen
Solivago wurde als Beitrag für den Barcosa 2025: „Liebe Grüße aus…” Postkartenjam erstellt und ist auf Deutsch und Englisch erhältlich.

Die Planetenerstellung auf der Vorderseite allein ist Gold wert für alle möglichen Spiele/Systeme! Ich finde aber auch, dass Spiel auf der Rückseite richtig Spaß macht. Also wenn man Science-Babble mag - und wer findet das nicht toll?
I like how thorough the planet creation is--really scratches my astronomy itch. I almost feel like the research in the gameplay loop could decide the planet's characteristics, in a "we don't know where we landed" way, but that would be a different game. The news portion helps seed the pearl of roleplaying, which is something I feel too many GM-less games lack. Was it meant to look like a postcard? "Greetings from Solivago--wish you were here!"
